The Foundation
Helping Black Communities Unite Inc. was founded on the Highest of the Seven Hills at Florida A&M University on February 28, 2022, by Christopher Mathews, alongside Ethan Walker and Winzie Wilson, who helped establish the first chapter. Our organization emerged from the urgent need to heal generational and community trauma by fostering meaningful relationships and breaking away from monolithic narratives within the Black community.
We are committed to bridging gaps within the Black community through “uncomfortable,” yet necessary conversations—conversations that challenge societal norms, systems, and institutions affecting the Indigenous Black and African Diaspora. Our mission is to be the seed that, once watered, grows into a movement that unites all like-minded people under a shared purpose.
Join us in shifting the paradigm. Support our work by spreading the message or donating what you can, as we strive to manifest a higher civilization—referred to as the Kingdom of God.
